Frequently Asked Questions
CanChill works with any standard 12 or 16 oz can (with 2.68 in. diameter) - typical beer, soda, or sparkling water cans. Cooling times will be slightly longer for 16 oz vs 12 oz. Not recommended for slimmer cans or bottles. We expect to release a slimmer can version next.
It’s not recommended. At a certain point the ice will start to melt, and you may get wet. However you’re welcome to put your can back in the device periodically to help keep it cool.
It depends on how cool you’re trying to get your beverage, the air temperature, and the size of the can. We recommend no more than 2-3 cans before you put it back in the freezer to recharge the cooling system.
CanChill comes with a recommended drip tray. When you are cooling a can, condensation may form and some fluid may escape from the product. You may put your CanChill on the drip tray to catch this.
Generally, between 3 - 10 minutes. However, it depends on your desired temperature, the starting temperature of your drink, the ambient air temperature, and the temperature of your freezer. Check out our beer chilling page here for a guide that will tell you approximate time depending on the type of beer.
Nope! CanChill works in ambient temperature. You’re welcome to put it in the freezer while cooling and it may slightly speed up cooling, but we recommend leaving it on the counter so you don’t over-chill.
Maintenance is easy-peasy. Every now and then, if you notice that the ice level in your fin cavity has decreased, top it off with a little more tap water and put it back in the freezer. There's no need to de-ice your CanChill, and we don't recommend trying to remove the silicone outer sleeve for any reason - please don't, as that may break the product.
It depends on your location and desired shipping method. See more in your cart.
